NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Project Execution Unit (PEU) in the Ministry of Finance working on the Reconstruction with Resilience in the Energy Sector in The Bahamas Programme held a workshop for businesses involved in the solar energy sector to explain the bidding process for future government solar energy projects, as well as the Procurement Portal, at the National Training Agency, Friday, November 11, 2022.

Representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Union were also in attendance.  The Bank has approved a $170 million Conditional Credit Line for Investment Project (CCLIP) to advance deployment of renewable energy in The Bahamas along with the first operation of the CCLIP in the amount of $80 million.  The EU has put a $9 million grant towards the project.
