NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Minister of Economic Affairs, the Hon. Michael Halkitis met with the Heads of Departments and Chairpersons of Boards from various agencies included in his portfolio during a one-day internal workshop. The objectives for the meeting included discussions on budget strategies for the next 2 - 3 years.  Other strategies included developing comprehensive budget and new expenditure listing, and addressing the need to unify all agencies and units’ strategic intent within the Ministry’s portfolio by concentrating all energies and resources towards the government’s mandate. The agencies represented included: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Department of Transformation & Digitization, Bahamas Bureau of Standards & Quality, Small Business Development Centre, Financial Services, Bahamas National Statistical Institute, Consumer Affairs and the Consumer Protection Commission. The workshop was held on Wednesday, 25th January 2023 at SuperClubs Breezes
