A PINT OF LOVE – A blood drive encouraging all residents of Grand Bahama to donate blood was promoted during a press conference on Thursday, February 23, in Freeport, Grand Bahama.  Leading the charge, Minister for Grand Bahama the Hon. Ginger Moxey said she was pleased at the collaboration for such a worthy cause.  'A Pint of Love' will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Rand Memorial Hospital from 9am to 3pm.

“We must unite and work together to build alliances to collaborate to ensure that Grand Bahama excels,” said the Minister. She added, “Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person – the gift of life.”  This is the second blood drive, with the first being held in December, and residents are encouraged to not only attend but encourage their family, friends, and neighbours to do so as well. The drive, it is hoped, will assist in solving a long-term problem.

Partners in the venture are Collab: Partnerships for Development (A division of the Ministry for Grand Bahama), the Grand Bahama Blood Donors Society, Grand Bahama Red Cross Society, Rotary Clubs of Grand Bahama, Rotaract along with other community sponsors.

“Blood is the most essential thing for human life,” said the Minister.
