GBHS clinics to resume normal hours Friday

GRAND BAHAMA, The Bahamas — With the all-clear has been given for Grand Bahama, Abaco, Bimini and the Berry Islands as Hurricane Nicole moved away from The Bahamas and over to central Florida as a tropical storm, the Grand Bahama Health Services (GBHS) has announced that all clinics will resume normal working hours on Friday, November 11, 2022.



According to GBHS Deputy Hospital Administrator Leotha Coleby, there will be no visiting hours at the Rand Memorial Hospital today.



The Christ The King and Special Needs Shelter were closed today at 12noon and the eight patients present were transported to their various residences by Emergency Medical Service personnel via Ambulance.



The Eight Mile Rock Clinic remained open until 3:00pm today and all other clinics will resume normal working hours, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Freeport Community Clinic
Eight Mile Rock Clinic
Hawksbill Clinic
West End Clinic
High Rock Clinic
Grand Cay Clinic
McClean’s Town Clinic
Davie’s House
Pearce Plaza and the COVID Vaccination Center



Residents are being further advised that public visiting hours resume on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6:00 – 7:00pm for General Wards; the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric and Step Down Wards from 1:00 – 2:00pm and 6:00 – 7:00pm and the Maternity Ward from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
