Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) is mandated to develop, adopt and promulgate standards for such goods and services as may be required in the national interest.

The following BBSQWD (Bahamas Bureau of Standards & Quality Working Draft) Standard & Guidelines for the Street Vendor Industry (Food & Coconut) are being issued for public comment, in accordance with the provisions set out in the Standards Act, Chapter 338 (2006), and in keeping with international best practices and the standards development procedures:

• BBSQWD/ Guidelines for Mobile Coconut Water Street Vendors
• BBSQWD/ Guidelines for Control Measures off Street-Vended Foods
• BBSQWD/ Code Of Hygienic Practice for The Preparation and Sale Of Street Foods

Copies of the BBSQWD (Bahamas Bureau of Standards & Quality Working Draft) Standard & Guidelines for the Street Vendor Industry (Food & Coconut) are available for viewing the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality’s Office, Source River Centre, 1000 Bacardi Road and local Government Offices.
