Public Notice from the Ministry of Public Works

NASSAU, The Bahamas - The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix, has scheduled Milling and Paving Works for the Eastern Road between Montagu Circle and Johnson Road beginning Wednesday, 28th March, 2018, on Mondays through Fridays, between the hours of 9:30 am to 2:30 pm each day.  Completion of the work is anticipated for April 17, 2018.

There will be east and west bound lane closures implemented at various times for the duration of the works.

During east bound lane closures, motorists traveling east will be detoured south on Village Road, east on Bernard Road and north on Johnson Road.

During west bound lane closures, motorists traveling west will be detoured south on Johnson Rd., west on Bernard Road and north on Village Road.

Provision for access will be made for residences on the Eastern Road between Montague Circle and Johnson Road as necessary.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.  You are asked to be aware of and obey the posted traffic paving signs in the area.
