Permits are issued to facilitate the duty free importation of vessels and fishing gear to be used within the bone fishing sector.


Eligibility 
  • Applicants must be certified or registered bone fishing guides.
  • Businesses must be engaged in the bone fishing sector ( Bone Fish Lodges).
Process 
  1. Complete the relevant application form.
  2. Submit completed application form along with the required supporting documents to the Department of Marine Resources.
  3. The applicant will then be issued with the Certificate of Registration Card or 10% Duty Waiver Form, which should be presented to The Bahamas  Customs at the time of clearance of the goods
