Minister of National Security, Inspects Fire Site in Abaco

 

In this photo, the Minister of National Security is seen immersed in conversation with Hon Renardo Curry, Member of Parliament for North Abaco, a Police Officer and others on the site of the shanty town fire in Sand Bank, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, on Monday 5th May, 2014, where approximately fifty (50)wooden homes were demolished, leaving more than one hundred (100) persons homeless.

 

Minister of National Security, Hon Dr. Nottage, is seen in the photograph along with Minister of Social Services, Hon Melanie Griffith and Minister of Environment and Housing, Hon Kenred Dorsett, all converged in The Sand Bank community in Marsh Harbour, Abaco. Each of the three Ministers in their various capacities travelled to Abaco on Monday 5th May, 2014, to ascertain first-hand the immediate concerns relative to the security, housing and social needs of the displaced population.

 

 

 

Photographs 4 and 5 capture the devastation that remains in the wake of the fire that destroyed about fifty (50) homes in Sand Bank, Abaco.
