Introduction
The Mutual Evaluation Report (MER) of The Bahamas was adopted at the CFATF Plenary of May 2017. Post review by the Global FATF network, the MER was published in July 2017. Attorney General Honourable Carl Bethel, Bahamas’ Primary CFATF contact, following the publication of the MER, summoned the National AML/CFT Task Force (now IRF Steering Committee) to begin the work of addressing the deficiencies identified therein.
